Digital Design and Fabrication
We scan, design, and fabricate practical solutions that turn ideas into real-world parts, products, and prototypes.
Have a part, product, or idea you need brought to life?
Practical digital design and fabrication to move from concept to finished part.
Digital Design and Fabrication Focus Areas
Our digital design and fabrication capability supports everything from early concept and scanning through to prototyping, production, and assembly. We offer practical, hands-on support across the following focus areas.
3D Scanning
We usie high-resolution 3D scanning to reverse engineer and create accurate digital models for repair, modification, or reproduction.
Digital Design
We create, refine, and optimise digital design files for manufacturing, including new designs, modifications, and print-ready or CNC-ready files
Prototyping
We support early-stage concepts through rapid prototyping, functional testing, and iterative design to help move ideas toward viable products.
Fabrication
We manufacture parts and products using 3D printing and CNC machining for functional components, enclosures, fixtures, and low-volume production.
Product Assemby
We support part assembly, small-batch builds, and coordination with external manufacturing partners where larger-scale or specialist production .
Custom Products
We design and manufacture bespoke items such as branded merchandise, business card holders, cookie cutters, jigs, fixtures, and custom accessories.
AIG MADE
AIG MADE is the Manufacturing, Applied Design & Education arm of Australian Impact Group.
We created AIG MADE to bridge the gap between ideas and real-world production. Many organisations can design concepts, but struggle to turn them into physical parts, products, or systems quickly and affordably. AIG MADE exists to make that translation practical.
We operate a growing farm of 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and a fully equipped workshop, supported by skills across digital design, scanning, additive manufacturing, and traditional fabrication.
This allows us to prototype, test, refine, and produce components in-house, while also supporting outsourced manufacture and small-batch production.
AIG MADE enables us to support organisations that need:
• Replacement and off-market parts
• Prototypes and functional test pieces
• Custom fixtures, jigs, and tooling
• Branded and promotional products
• Bespoke components and assemblies
By embedding fabrication capability alongside our advisory, innovation, and design services, we help organisations move faster, reduce risk, and solve practical problems without long development cycles or complex supply chains.
AIG MADE is about making ideas tangible, useful, and ready for the real world.

FutureSkills4U Digital Skills Program
The Australian Impact Group were one provider engaged to promote and activate digital skills Training Across Queensland to address Queensland Government priorities to upskill Queenslanders in Digital Skills and promote digital careers to address critical shortages and achieve priority policy areas of the Digital Workforce Action Plan.
The program created The FutureSkills4U Digital Skills Program was designed and delivered achieving participation of over 1500 Queenslanders across 65 Local Government Areas.
In addition to curating and delivering the program, managing key stakeholders and
was an initiative of the Department of Community Housing and Digital Economy as a part of the Digital Workforce Action Plan.
This initiative deployed digital training to Regional Queenslanders over 65 Local Government Authorities.
In addition to program managing the delivery over a 18 month program, The Australian Impact Group designed and delivered training packages in innovation, digital transformation across industry, cyber security, digital careers, Artificial Intelligence, Careers and Simulation,
Throughout this program The Australian Impact Group also activated several schools in a curated Career Preparation Program and Ran a Successful Educator to Industry Conference in partnership with James Cook University and Tafe North Queensland.
Advance Queensland Stack+ Female Founders
The Stack+ Female Founders program was one of 11 programs selected through competitive tender to deliver early stage accelerator support to female founders under the Advance Female Founders Program.
There are two cohorts, one for STEM Female Founders and one Stack+@JCU focussing on delivering a program for undergraduate female students
This program aims to support innovators and entrepreneurs develop sustainable scalable business models through education and building knowledge of nine fundamental stacks critical for business success while at the same time working on practical resources to build on their idea.

Townsville Chamber
The Townsville Chamber of Commerce like many member funded for purpose enterprises look to develop strategic ways to provide value to their members and diversify revenue streams for improved resourcing and sustainability.
The Australian Impact Group developed for the Townsville Chamber of Commerce a one day business fundamentals course as a member benefit.
The Australian Impact Group also supported the Townsville Chamber of Commerce to complete a grant proposal for a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program funded by the Department of Education, Training and Employment and developed a program to support skilled women wanting to re-enter the workforce, reskill or transition into new career opportunities. This initiative not only provides diversification of income but the ability to deliver services that address the significant workforce availability issues faced by their members.
Business Concierge
The Business Concierge Service was an initiative delivered by the Department of Small Business and Training aimed at developing resilience for Small to Medium businesses in Local Government areas affected by the 2019 Monsoon Trough Event in North and Far North Queensland.
The Business Concierge Service was jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
The Australian Impact Group designed and project managed this program for Smart Precinct NQ as a primary sub contractor supporting 200 businesses undertake Business Resilience Coaching, Development of a needs based Business Resilience Plan. This program also provided a financial support package to go towards advisory services and support from a panel of providers. The management of this program included the management of the rebate program and acquittal processes for the Queensland Government.
Certificate III Simulation and Interactive Technologies
The Australian Impact Group has project managed and developed a national first qualification in Simulation and Interactive Technologies for and with Cubic Defence Australia.
This project has involved developing the training and assessment strategy, learning plans, compliance requirements and learning resources , assessment strategies and establishment of the Student Management , Avetmiss and Learning Management Systems. This is an innovative program and qualification leading the way with emerging trends in simulation and interactive technologies which is a critical horizontal enabler of all industries.
As part of this project funding was also secured from Advance Queensland to run a pilot of two cohorts of students, one veteran and one high school students.
