Our work: Digital Design and Fabrication

Design. Prototype

Manufacture.

From a single print run to a full design-to-production engagement,  AIG MADE works with you from wherever you are in the process. Bring us a finished file, a broken part, or just an idea. We will work out what you need and deliver something that actually works.

What we do

Built to deploy. Made for impact

We offer each capability as a standalone service or as part of a full design-to-production engagement. Tell us where you are in the process and we will work from there. Some engagements are a single print run. Some start with a scan and end with ongoing supply. We work with you from wherever you are - no fixed process, no unnecessary step

01

3D Scanning

High-resolution 3D scanning to capture accurate digital models of objects for repair, repoduction or modification.

02

Digital Design

Creation and optimisation of new and reverse engineered files for 3D printing and CNC, and new models ready for production.

03

Rapid Prototyping

Fast iteration from concept to physical prototype  including  testing fit, material performance, and functional requirements

04

Fabrication

Manufacture using 3D printing and CNC machining, from a single part to low-volume production runs

05

Custom Components

Design and manufacture of bespoke components and custom objects to material and industry specifications.

06

Assembly & Small Batch Build

Small Batch assembly and builds including integration, finishing, coordination and shops front B2C supply

WHO WE WORK WITH

For Organisations that need things Made

_______________

Our clients come to us when standard parts aren't available, existing suppliers can't move fast enough, or they need something designed and built to a specific operational requirement.

Industry and Manufacturing
_________

Mining, manufacturing, and industrial organisations needing custom parts, replacement components, tooling, fixtures, and jigs, particularly in high-breakage environments or where off-market parts create operational risk. We work to specification and deliver components rated for the conditions they will operate in.

Replacement Parts
Custom Tools
Low volume Production

Research and Technology
_________

Research organisations, labs, startups, and technology teams developing prototypes, testing concepts, and building functional components  where speed of iteration and the ability to test and refine quickly matters more than volume

Prototyping and Concept Testing
Custom Components
Low Volume Production

Innovators and Product Developers
_________

Entrepreneurs and businesses creating new products, branded merchandise, promotional items, and custom-designed components  where the journey from idea to physical object needs a partner who can handle design, prototyping, and production in one place.

Prototyping
Branded Items
Custom Design

Public Sector
_________

Councils, utilities, health services, and public sector organisations requiring replacement, maintenance, and fabrication solutions, where standard parts are no longer available, lead times are unacceptable, or specific operational requirements demand a custom solution.

Proven Delivery

AIG MADE in Practice

Digital Design and Fabrication is a growing capability for AIG including this full product development lifecycle case study from scan through to ongoing low-volume supply for a mine.

The Challenge

A regional mine operating Hitachi EH3500 - AC3 dump trucks was experiencing frequent breakages of the dash shroud component,  a high-wear part exposed to demanding thermal and vibration conditions in day-to-day operation and had desired additional modifications post specification.

The mine needed a reliable, fit-for-purpose replacement solution that could be supplied on an ongoing basis that met its specific post specification modification requirements without the delays and costs associated with sourcing original components.
