AIG was founded by Miranda Mears, a currently regional Queensland based female founder who saw, across 25 years of executive leadership, the same challenges appearing in organisation after organisation. Boards that lacked governance confidence. Teams that couldn't translate strategy into action. Organisations with good intentions and real potential that kept hitting the same walls.
As Executive Director Asia-Pacific at Securus Global, one of Australia's early cyber security consulting firms at the time Miranda spent 14 years advising boards and executive teams on governance, risk, and cyber resilience and compliance . She saw firsthand how organisations struggled not with knowing what needed to change, but with building the internal capability to actually change it.
She then built and led Learning Partnerships in Business, a Skills Assured Registered Training Organisation delivering accredited workforce programs across Queensland. Through hundreds of engagements with small businesses, government bodies, education institutions, and community organisations, the same pattern kept emerging, organisations needed more than a report or a training day. They needed someone who would stay long enough to build something that lasted.
