The program brings together teams who nominate to work on a shared vision and collaborative initiatives for an identified regional/industry challenge (their ‘must win battle’) or to unlock key regional opportunities that will help connect and grow the region or sector.

Cohort 4 teams are part of a dedicated round focused on Climate and Disaster Resilience and Preparedness. This Cohort is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement.

As a result of the Activities of this program, Team Connectivity was successful in obtaining amount of minor seed funding to undertake preliminary activities to develop a preliminary model and briefing for their identified must win battle.

For context, the Connectivity team identified that connectivity is the literal and figurative backbone of community confidence, capability, and capacity in communities. Further, that the ability to be able to participate and thrive in a digital economy supports sustainable resilient communities.

The team identified a must win battle is to solve the sustainable connectivity challenges in regional Queensland that are impacting community resilience, economic development and community by establishing a holistic and overarching framework and model that would connect in various support programs and initiatives.
