FutureSkills4U Celebrates Small Business Month

Strong Business Communities are a cornerstone for vibrant strong resilient and adaptable communities. “

This May the Queensland Government are celebrating everything small business and the vital contribution they make to Queensland's economy and to our communities across the state.

Small Business accounts for 98% of businesses in Australia. They are collectively our nation’s largest employer and contribute 34% to Australia’s GDP. They are also the most vulnerable business segment to failures

There are 78 Local Government Areas in Queensland, 77 are considered to be Regional or Rural areas and the further away from our capital the more challenges small business owners have.

To Celebrate Queensland Small Business Month the FutureSkills4U have curated 20  courses for building digital skills for small businesses and entrepreneurs.  For each course you complete you will get a Queensland Government Branded Certificate. But that is not all. You will have access to the entire library of over 40,000 courses.

The Queensland Government is determined to embrace the digital economy to realise its full potential. Using digital technologies, content and innovative services to boost productivity and connectivity and improving digital technologies and skills can provide many benefits to business.

The FutureSKills4U Rural and Regional Digital Skills program provides FREE access to rural and regional Queenslanders over the age of 12 to the Go 1 Learning Platform.

Here you can choose from thousands of online courses to study at your own pace. You can do as many or as few as you choose, it will be free.

This Queensland Government initiative is part of the Digital Professional Workforce Action Plan, which is working with industry and academia to give Queenslander’s access to digital skills training and the potential for a pathway to a digital career.
